Cleaning is the most time consuming job in house keeping. Here are some useful cleaning tips. Some you may have heard of before others maybe new to you, try them out!

  • Always tidy up before you start cleaning it will save lots of time.
  • Clean top to bottom to get as much dust as possible.
  • Rubber gloves are your hands best friends.
  • Rub a fresh lemon thoroughly into soured sponge and rinse it several times in lukewarm water; it will become as sweet as when new.
  • To remove varnish from glass use baking soda.
  • Hang up your broom to keep soft and pliant.
  • Salt and vinegar will remove tea stains from china.
  • Every week spray your shower curtain with a 50/50 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water to prevent mildew.
  • To make a green disinfectant spray mix 15 drops of tea tree oil with 2 cups of water in a spray bottle (for a stronger disinfectant add more tea tree oil).
